In an act of solidarity, and to give this beautiful living being a shelter and avoid her being sacrificed, she’s with us at the moment until someone adopts her. She’s here in Madrid, Spain – – she’s 4 months old and I’ve called her Afrika for the time being. Her mother’s a black and brown pure Cocker Spaniel (shown in the last photo) and they weren’t able to tell us who the father was, but according to the vet, he was most probably a Beagle. She’s extremely affectionate and gets on very well with my other dogs and even better with the cat! She’s advertised already in all our local veterinary clinics here in north-west Madrid, so if anybody’s interested in her adoption and giving her a permanent home and family, just drop me a line (the rescue association would then require the completion of a questionnaire, to assure that the dog would be going to a suitable family, then the signing of an adoption contract. They also insist on the immediate identification of the animal with a microchip under the new owners name). We can send her anywhere within the peninsula. The animal association who rescued her would take care of the transfer costs involved.

I haven’t been online practically for the whole of last week, as I dedicated 60% of the time spring cleaning at home, then the rest of the time, we had a very special guest to stay whilst his family went away. He’s called Orión and he’s a Border Collie of 15 months old. Hope you like the photos.
All four of them got along extremely well – – although the cat preferred to keep her distance!!
So – – – if anybody needs a place to leave their pet whilst they go away, you can rest assured that they’ll receive all the love and affection with us. Just leave a note on my blog and I’ll get back to you.
