Hummus

Hummus, whizzing up 2 Hummus, comino, pimentón, aceite Hummus 2 Hummus 1 Hummus, Moroccan Bread & Salad

So quick and easy to make – and so scrummy.

Just take a couple of jars of cooked chickpeas and put them in the liquidizer (I use the Thermomix) along with 2-4 tbsps ‘Tahini’ (sesame paste), 1/4 to 1/3 cup virgen olive oil, juice of 1/2 to 1 lemon and a pinch each of salt and ground cummin and whizz it all up until smooth, adding water as necessary until you acquire the desired consistency.  The amounts of ALL the ingredients used are entirely according to individual tastes.

I serve hummus in shallow dishes with a sprinkling of paprika, cummin and olive oil and serve it with “Batbut” Moroccan bread (included in my blog) and a mixed salad.
